A few intense days immersed in the beauty of the Holy Land, from Jerusalem to Jericho to Samaria, but not alone. The brief trip planned by two Italian entrepreneurs had as its principal objective visiting the places where the Custody of the Holy Land is present and learning about the projects it supports through its NGO ATS pro Terra Sancta.
These special guests of ATS pro Terra Sancta were accompanied on their visit to Saint Savior’s Parish and the Archaeological Museum of the Studium Biblicum Franciscansum, which are taking part in the projects “Books, bridges of peace” aimed at enhancing the library heritage of the Custody’s libraries, and “Telling the story of the Holy Land” whose goal is the creation of a Christian museum center in Jerusalem. The travelers then moved on to Jericho, accompanied by the Father Ibrahim Faltas, economist of the Custody of the Holy Land, to learn about the most important activities that ATS pro Terra Sancta is supporting in that city, including the Mosaic Center and a project recently begun in the Franciscan Parish of the Good Shepherd. The final stop was Sabastiya, where they visited the archaeological site and the ongoing works to enlarge the new guest house.
These friendly encounters help to transmit knowledge about, and generate support for, ATS pro Terra Sancta, while at the same time providing an opportunity to share in its love and commitment for the Holy Land and its riches.
