The darkness is taking away from the children and young people of Aleppo any chance to build a better future. Behind the installation of solar panels there is an entire family that can start living again, children who find a bit of normality, young people who can build their future.

In forcefully reaffirming our commitment to peace, we are preparing to offer all possible concrete help to the most fragile and needy victims of this situation.

In a context where there seems to be no way out, through the activities of our canteen and the distribution of food parcels, we reach 2,000 families every month.

Thirteen years ago today, war broke out in Syria, a civil war that degenerated into a devastating and endless conflict . Throughout these years, we have continued to support the Syrian people, working tirelessly to alleviate suffering and promote the reconstruction of the country’s social and infrastructural fabric.

A year ago, on February 6 at 4 a.m. local time, a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.8 struck Turkey and northern Syria. The tragedy has claimed more than 56,000 lives, including at least 7,200 in Syria. Today, one year after the tremors, the situation is still very critical.

This Christmas, due to the conflict, many already isolated cities are confronted with the absence of pilgrims and the inevitable increase in unemployment and poverty. In this situation, it is children and vulnerable people who suffer the most serious consequences, often finding themselves abandoned and defenseless.
