On Holy Saturday the program “Strada Regina “ of Televisione svizzera (RSI, the Italian-language public television in Switzerland) broadcast a special video on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, featuring two of the world's leading experts, the Israeli archaeologist Dan Bahat and Father Massimo Pazzini, Dean of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum. The broadcast included a 3D video produced by ATS pro Terra Sancta which allows one to make a virtual visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, traveling backwards in time to the era of Jesus.
The Studium Biblicum Franciscanum is one of the most prestigious academic institutions, at the international level, for biblical and archaeological research. Accordingly, the Franciscans of the Custody of the Holy Land not only safeguard the Places of the earthly life of Jesus, bringing them to life through the daily celebrations, but also continue their work of research, study, enhancement and communication of the history represented by these Places.
In its development work ATS pro Terra Sancta continues to support them, and proposes to all Friends of the Holy Land cultural visits linked to the preservation and enhancement works at these Places.
Have you already made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land? We suggest you make a return visit, also in small groups, to spend several days in Jerusalem, or in Bethlehem, to stop and pray at the Holy Places, to visit the projects being carried out by the Custody of the Holy Land, to go hiking in the desert and valleys mentioned in the Bible, and to breathe the air and the charm of the Holy City.
