Rome 19th - 21st September 2011; Jerusalem 7th - 21st November 2011. The Training Course for Pilgrimages Animators is for religious and priests who have taken the Baccalaureate in Theology and have already visited the main Sites of the Holy Land as pilgrims.
The course aims to prepare the candidate for the spiritual accompaniment of pilgrims through first-hand knowledge of the Holy Places, in their historical and archaeological context and in the tradition of the sanctuaries of the Holy Land.
The Custody of the Holy Land and the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum will organize and conduct both the theoretical training, through lectures or lessons, and the guided visits to the individual sanctuaries.
The programme will be in two parts. The first part in Italy, consisting of a theoretical programme in 12 lessons at the Custody of the Holy Land, Via Boiardo 16, Rome, from 19th to 21st September 2011. The second part will be held in the Holy Land and will be made up of excursions and visits to the Holy Places from 7th to 21st November 2011.
At the end of the Course, the participants will be examined by the teaching staff to evaluate their grounding and be awarded the Diploma of Attendance.
Places for the course are limited with the maximum number of participants fixed at 35 religious and/or priests.
